[Lauren puts up her hands.]
Lauren: All right. ALL RIGHT. I'll come clean.
[She stretches her hand out to the dead monitor beside her.]
[The monitor crackles to life, displaying "NO SIGNAL".]
[Lauren puts one hand on her hip as she explains.]
Lauren: I've been going around town to power stations and cell towers. Getting them WORKING again. So we can communicate with the OUTSIDE again. That tower up the road? It gave the signal JUST enough juice to get data in and out.
[Salime's expression is unchanged, while Audrey, behind her, holds her hands up to her mouth in surprise.]
Lauren: (off-panel) And THAT is what I am "doing here".
[A closeup on Salime's smug smirk.]
Salime: Well, then.
