The Hues

[It's the day of the invasion, in the afternoon. Sami is similarly lying in her bed, fully clothed, her laptop sitting next to her on the mattress. She has one arm draped over her eyes.]

SFX: knock knock
Priya (Sami's mother): Samhita?

[Sami opens her eyes, looking troubled as she listens to her mother speak.]

Priya: Can you please come downstairs? I'd like to talk to you about something.

[Seeming to ignore her mother, Sami sits up cross-legged, pulling her laptop over.]

Priya: ...Sami?

[Out in the hallway, Priya glances down to her pocket, where her phone has begun vibrating.]

Priya: (sigh...)
