The Hues

[Saki dives at Lauren, who barely registers what's happening, pushing her shoulder around and taking the full blast of the lazer in her side.]

Saki: GAHHH!!

[A very tight closeup on Lauren's eyes as her hair whips around her face.]

[Saki falls bodily to the wet ground.]

SFX: THUD

[The alien gets hit with a blast of bright electricity once again; its back arches and body spasms.]

Lauren: HRRRRAAAAAUGH!

[Lauren's outstretched hand crackles with the residue of the underhand pitch she just threw. Her eyes are cut off by the panel border, but her teeth are gritted in rage.]

Lauren: (pant, pant)

[Lauren crouches over Saki.]

Lauren: Hey. HEY! Are you...? Oh god...

[Saki's eyes are shut tight, but her face is flushed and sweaty. Lauren cradles her head in the crook of her arm.]

Saki: (cough) Ziel... Zielinski... (cough, cough)

[Lauren's eyes are wide and scared; this is the most unguarded we've ever seen her. She bends over Saki as the rain continues to fall down on them.]

Saki: You shouldn't have to go this alone. Find your people. Get backup.
